The pilot of a small plane was killed when the aircraft seemed to lose power, skipped off a roof and crashed in Minden.
No one on the ground was injured when the float plane crashed around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, authorities said.
The name of the pilot was withheld pending notification of relatives.
"I heard a plane that was way too loud. I looked up and it was right there above my porch," said Merry Anderson. "As I looked up it went over the garage and there was a huge plume of dust."
The plane left two holes in Anderson's garage, but damage was minimal.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash was being conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration.
