Police Arrest One of Two Suspects in Lido Inn Murder

Police arrested one suspect and are looking for another in the shooting death of a man at a downtown Reno motel.

DelJuan Marke, 30, an unemployed Stockton, Calif., resident, was booked Monday into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of murder
and home invasion, investigators said. He was being held on no bail.

Police still were searching for the other suspect, Frank Smith, 29, a convicted felon from Stockton.

The two are accused of confronting a man early Monday at the Lido Inn on West Fourth Street. The victim was taken to a Reno hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name hasn't been released.

The suspects fled in a vehicle. Marke was arrested after his vehicle was later recovered in Reno, detectives said.

Smith also is being sought in connection with a string of armed robberies around Stockton. He's a Crips gang member who has a previous conviction for second-degree murder in California, police said.

An investigation into the 3:15 a.m. shooting continues.
