Police confirmed today that the woman who died at the scene of the shooting was not pregnant as earlier reported. An autopsy confirmed this Monday.

Police say they're still looking for one man involved in the shooting, and as KOLO 8 discovered, he may have had some close ties to the King Ranch Supermaket.

Police confirmed that 18-year-old Edwin Ramirez was formerly an employee at the King Ranch. Some of his coworkers say he was angry and...

"Had either just gotten fired or just quit from here and he'd talked to her that day and wanted to know if he was going to be able to get his job back," said Carol Moore, a friend of an employee.

The victims in the shooting were one female and one male, both believed to be in their 20's. The man was a friend of the woman's husband, who saw the whole thing happen from a vehicle nearby.

"We believe there was a verbal confrontation at King Ranch Market. We don't know of any other encounters between Edwin Ramirez, the suspects and the victims," said Sgt. Chuck Lovitt, homicide detective for the Reno Police Department.

Three days after the shooting took place, a memorial now sits in the parking lot where the two died...white flowers and candles to remember them.

"It's a shame you know, that lives are destroyed...for what?" said Moore.

Employees say some customers who normally shop here are terrified, and are now steering clear of the crime scene.

"I've seen what goes on here at night and I won't come here at night. It's a shame cause the local businesses are pretty nice, but it's not worth taking the risk at night," said George Vaio of Reno.

Police are still searching for Ramirez, as well as the other two suspects involved with the shooting. Ramirez also goes by the name "Lil' Playboy." He's described as being about 5 foot 4 inches, 113 pounds, with a tuft of hair on the crown of his head. He was last seen driving a 1989 blue Toyota Corolla with blue painted rims.

If you know anything about Ramirez' whereabouts or anything else regarding Friday night's shooting, police encourage you to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
