Matthew Fields, the man who authorities say hit and killed a 13-year-old girl while driving under the influence, has pleaded guilty to his charges.
25-year-old Fields pleaded guilty on Wednesday to felony drunken driving and causing the death of 13-year-old Linda Foldi at a South Meadows Parkway intersection last August. He also admitted to leaving the scene of the accident…and he pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor of conspiracy for trying to get one of his relatives to lie for him.
Authorities say Fields was speeding and drunk when his SUV struck Foldi as she was riding her bike in the crosswalk.
Fields will face up to 35 years in prison when he is sentenced on August 17th.
