Whether you’re craving a single raspberry-filled doughnut or an entire Baker’s Dozen, Krispy Kreme is the place to be this weekend…because your craving will benefit the athletes of Special Olympics.
It’s called “Cops on Doughnut Shops.” Portions of every sale will benefit Special Olympics athletes and their families, so that they can participate without worrying about expenses. The entire state of Nevada hopes to raise $30,000: almost double of what was raised last year.
Officials from the Nevada Highway Patrol, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, and Reno and Sparks Police Departments will participate all weekend long. And on both Saturday and Sunday, there will be a Show and Shine featuring patrol cars, and a Safety Fair with a child identification booth.
