SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Sparks is getting a little bit bigger.
The City Council voted Monday to annex a 30-acre industrial area west of the USA Parkway interchange and east of the Patrick interchange along Interstate 80. The request to become part of the city came from the Tahoe Reno Commercial Center.
Officials say a land-use plan hasn't been completed yet.
The land was identified in Sparks' seven-year annexation program. The zoning will be for industrial development.
