Anti-War Protesters in Reno Call for Impeachment of Bush, Cheney

RENO (AP) - A group of anti-war protesters gathered today in
Reno to demand that Congress pursue the impeachment of President
Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, saying the two must be held
accountable for their actions regarding the war in Iraq.
About 50 activists waved placards and heard speeches during the
two-hour rally outside the federal courthouse. The protest followed
Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich's introduction Tuesday of
articles of impeachment against Cheney.
Organizer Rich Haber of the pro-impeachment group A-28 says it
was among more than 100 such "impeachment actions" held
nationwide today.
He urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to reconsider her opposition
to impeachment, and accused Cheney and Bush of manipulating the
intelligence process to drum up support for the invasion of Iraq.
Other rally sponsors included the groups Impeach07, and the
World Can't Wait! Drive Out the Bush Regime!
