RENO, NV - About 3,100 customers in Stead and Cold Springs were without power Friday morning. The power outage was related to the extreme wind conditions, most probably the power lines slapping together or blowing debris. The outage started around 7am and power was restored by 10am.

NV Energy is also reporting several other small power outages throughout the region, many of which have been fixed.

Raleigh Heights, Callahan Ranch, southeast Reno (by Bates and Wilkenson), and northwest Reno were all affected. The outage in the northwest affected Ralston, Nevada St, W 5th, W 9th, and the courthouse.
