Police believe the same man is responsible for at least two armed robberies in Reno this week--and the suspect description in a third robbery is also eerily similar.

In all three cases, the robberies took place during business hours, and two times in broad daylight. Now, the crimes have some local business owners ramping up to protect themselves.

Tuesday at 1:00 in the afternoon, a man walked into the high-end clothing boutique,"Labels" on West First Street downtown, and threatened an employee with a knife. He got away with about $500.00 dollars. Business owners in the area say it's only a matter of time before he robs again.

It's at least the third robbery in three days, all of them committed by a man in his thirties, who stands over six feet tall. The first took place just after 6:00 p.m. Sunday at a Quizno's sandwich shop on McCarran boulevard.

Then Monday, another unlikely target. Employees say the suspect stole four-days worth of profits from the Fairly Grounded coffee shop on Lakeside Court near Moana Lane.

Then Tuesday, he hit Labels in the middle of the day, with several customers shopping inside.

"He came in with a knife and held them up," said Bianca Giacomini, who owns Daughters Café with her mom and sister. The quaint restaurant sits right across the street from Labels.

"I can push cop, it's a panic button for police," said Giacomini as she showed us her high-tech security system.

And while a tiny eatery may seem like an odd place to rob, Giacomini says so far, the serial robber has been pretty unpredictable.

"He's traveling and he's able to get around. He ran off on foot, but he's getting around somehow."

Customers eating at Daughters, like Reno's Laura Alden and her sister, say the rash of robberies is scary, but the truth of it is, it can happen anywhere.

"That's the sad thing because we shouldn't be living our lives in fear because of some other people's actions," said Alden.

Giacomini says she and her family are looking out for the whole neighborhood. to make sure no one they're not the next ones to become a victim.

"Bring it on if you want it. You're not going to get away."

Police say they have made a lot of headway in this case, and that they're pretty certain they know who the robber is. He could be charged with at least two armed robberies, maybe more.

The suspect is once again described as a white male in his 30's with brown hair. He's estimated to be about six feet, two inches tall.

If you have any information about the robberies, you're urged to call Secret Witness at 322-4900. Two separate $1,000 dollar rewards are being offered for each of two robberies, the incident at Fairly Grounded coffee shop, as well as Labels consignment boutique.
