INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - Nevada wildlife officials say a really big bear is causing big problems at the Lake Tahoe community of Incline Village.

The black bear, estimated by some to be around 700 pounds, may be responsible for as much as $70,000 in damage this year.

Wildlife experts say the large bruin has evaded traps and special night patrols to try to catch him. One homeowner shot the bear after it broke in. One bullet bounced off its skull, and the other one wounded it.

Biologist Carl Lackey says sheriff's deputies describe it as the largest bear they've ever seen.

Lackey has been pursuing the bear for the last three years. He estimates it has broken into more than three dozen garages around
Incline this summer alone.

Listen close you people. Not only were we here (yes, WE!)long before your ships, your horses or your spears, but scoop up this swimmin' salmon. We'll outlive your dumb selves too. You goofed up our rivers so my favorite treats can't come home and make billions of babies like they used to before Grand Cooley came in. Now your tempting cans of dinner sit stinkin' up our woods luring our tired, hungry souls yearning to chow down. Oh, and those luscious aromas downwind from the Lees and the new family out our way Durriiive me NUTS. Looks like a nice house, though. Really spacious kitchen. They grill indoors and dump the sizzle and scent into dusk air just as a growl to rival mine own comes bellowing from my tummy. OOOooh, and baked potatoes with garlic and sour cream. Yum. Good lights on these new places.

Hey Doris, your comment is dumb! Do you think any animals lived where your home sits before it was built?

If people would not build in the mountains then the bears would have some place to make their home. It is only common sense. It is there own fault where are they to go when we keep building in there mountains. Lake Tahoe is all mountains and woods. They were there first
