CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons has ordered the flags at state buildings to be flown at half-staff through Wednesday to honor those killed in a mass shooting at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.
Gibbons' office says flags will be lowered at the Capitol in Carson City, the Grant Sawyer Building in Las Vegas and other state buildings starting Friday and running through Veterans Day.
Officials say 13 people were killed and 30 wounded after Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly went on a shooting spree at the sprawling Texas post on Thursday.
Hasan is still in a coma after being shot by police, so police don't know what his motive may have been.
