Ensign Looks for Replacement for Fired US Attorney

Senator John Ensign says he's interviewing candidates to replace ousted US Attorney Daniel Bogden in Nevada.

Ensign says in Washington that as many as 19 people are being
considered for the job. He declined to name names.

Bogden was one of eight federal prosecutors whose dismissals in
recent months have focused congressional criticism on Attorney
General Alberto Gonzales.

Ensign has called on the attorney general to restore Bogden's reputation but has stopped short of calling for Gonzales' resignation.
