LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nearly all the Democratic candidates for
president were scheduled to take part in a forum in Las Vegas
The event is sponsored by the Service Employees International
Union and the Washington D-C based Center for American Progress.
Both groups are calling for candidates to propose plans for
universal health care coverage.
Senator Joseph Biden is the only candidate NOT scheduled to
attend the forum.
Biden's campaign said it had a scheduling conflict.
A large number of Nevada nurses will be in the crowd.
The nurses' union S-E-I-U is expected to play a key role in
Nevada's new early caucus.
