The manager of the Lakeside Inn and Casino race and sports book at Lake Tahoe admitted in District Court that he stole 21-thousand-565 dollars from the casino by cashing unpaid tickets.
43-year-old Ronald Eugene Tipton of Carson City, pleaded guilty in the Minden courtroom to conspiracy to commit grand theft.
He faces up to one year in Douglas County Jail and a two-thousand-dollar fine at his sentencing May first.
Tipton said after spending three days in Douglas County Jail following his arrest in December, he agreed to pay restitution and accept a lower charge in a plea agreement with the District Attorney's office.
He initially was charged with grand theft for the incidents, which occurred from October of 2005 through February of 2006.
