When firefighters got on scene, flames were coming dangerously close the highway. Crews set up their trucks along the road and began attacking the fire.
Fortunately, the parking lot outside the library served as fire break. Firefighters were able to contain it to three acres without any structures burning.
But, the fire was fueld by high winds and extremely dry conditions. Officials say the brush looked like it does for the middle of June not the middle of March.
They say it's important to be extremely careful while using motorcycles or ATVs or throwing anything flammable outside the car window.
No word yet on what caused this fire.
