Officer Involved Shooting

Douglas County sheriff deputies are investigating an early morning officer involved shooting. Witnesses say it happened off of Vista Grande Boulevard in the Indian Hills area.

Investigators say it happened around three this morning. Tribal police pulled over a 2003 Chevy truck that was speeding. The suspects in the truck allegedly rammed the tribal officer's vehicle and tried to run over the officer. Witnesses say the officer then fired his gun causing the suspect to crash.

Two suspects left the car and ran away on foot. A woman in the car was arrested at the scene. A shotgun and a handgun were found inside the vehicle.

At 10:15, officers arrested the driver, Fidel Louis Fuentes (aka Venom), near the scene on Garnet Court. Still outstanding is the passenger of the vehicle, Robert Michael Hernandez. He is 20 years of age, 5’9” tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has short black hair and goes by the nickname “Pee Wee”.
