Sierra Pacific Loses Money

Sierra Pacific Resources today reports
year-end losses of 140 (m) million dollars, or one-dollar-21 cents
a share.
That compares with losses of 307 (m) million dollars, or
3-dollars-one cent per share a year earlier. The parent firm of
Nevada's two dominant electric utilities, Nevada Power and Sierra
Pacific Power, says it lost less in 2003 due to growth in the
number of customers and favorable rulings from state regulators in
energy rate cases last year.
