Nevada Prison Walkaway Captured in Sacarmento

Four days of freedom have ended for a man who walked away from a minimum-security prison camp south of Carson City.

Jacob Swift, 26, escaped Saturday night from the Stewart Conservation Camp. He was recaptured last night in Sacramento by police there and from Reno after a short standoff at an apartment complex.

He was booked into the county jail while the Nevada Department of Corrections begins extradition proceedings.

Swift was serving a 3-10-year sentence on a robbery conviction imposed Sept. 30 in Washoe District Court.
