Sierra Resort Development

TRUCKEE, California (AP) - Owners of a major Sierra
cross-country ski resort atop Donner Summit plan to hold three
public meetings beginning Thursday to discuss their development
plans.

Royal Gorge owners say they want to update the community on
where they're headed before submitting a final plan to Placer
County officials.

The owners have set public meetings for Thursday at the resorts
Summit Station, and for next Saturday and March 17th at nearby Ice
Lakes Lodge.

In 2006, the owners met with residents to discuss their real
estate development plans.

Royal Gorge bills itself as North America's largest
cross-country ski resort. It operates on more than nine-thousand
acres - five-thousand acres of which is leased from the U-S Forest
Service.
