A man is dead after being ejected from his SUV when it drifted off the road, rolling several times Tuesday Night.

Trooper Chuck Allen with NHP says at about 10:48 pm Tuesday, the man was driving his white Toyota SUV northbound on State Route 376 in Nye County about 50 miles northeast of Tonopah.

The SUV drifted off the road and when the man overcorrected, the SUV veered across both travel lanes and went off the highway. The SUV then rolled several times, ejecting the man.

The man was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was from Round Mountain, Nevada. Police have not yet released the man’s name.

Clarice, there are no words that can help you right now, I do know this. I wish I could hold you and take it away, I wish I could make it so when you wake up tomorrow it is all different, I wish I knew why our boys had to go home before us, I pray you will find peace.
