A 40-year-old parolee has been arrested on charges of swiping sporting equipment from baggage claim at Reno-Tahoe International Airport and pawning it.

James Vance Williams was arrested Wednesday and was being held without bail on suspicion of possessing stolen property and violating parole, police said.

He is accused of stealing golf clubs and snowboards in November and selling them to Reno pawn shops.

According to authorities, Williams was released from prison in October after serving time for burglary and grand larceny.

He also has prior convictions in Ohio, authorities said.
