A medical helicopter was forced to land near US 395 last night when a sudden blustery storm hit north of Carson City.
The chopper landed safely near the Bellevue Road exit east of Washoe Lake.
Nevada Highway Patrol cars blocked traffic about 10:15 after the pilot reported limited visibility due to cloud cover and snow in the area north of Carson City.
After the landing about 10:40, a ground ambulance took the patient to the hospital in Reno.
The pilot remained with the aircraft until the weather improved.
