Faces of Grace Ministry assists the homeless and those less fortunate in our community. On Saturday, Sept. 19th, Faces of Grace is hosting the 3rd annual "Homeless Awareness Day."
The day will include free food, haircuts, bags of groceries, personal hygiene items, clothes, and phone cards. The goal is to reach out to those who cannot meet essential daily needs through job training, education, counseling, and temporary housing.
Jamie Fletcher, Vice President of Faces of Grace Ministry says, "It only takes a split second for us to lose our job or have a health issue rise up or to find ourselves in the situation that many people are finding themselves in today."
Faces of Grace is still looking for donations of clothes, bedding, and personal hygiene items. They especially need winter coats and jeans. There will also be a community assistance table set up to educate people about programs that can help get them back on track.
The "Homeless Awareness Day" is Saturday, September 19th at Galetti Park on the corner of Glendale and Galetti Way from 9:00am until 4:00pm.
