RENO, NV - Automotive engineers are constantly working to find new ways to run cars... ways that cost less money and energy.
The new Algaeus runs on a fuel made with algae, but it's also a plug-in hybrid. It's on a cross-country tour this month to show off its skills. Wednesday it was in Reno, and among those impressed was Governor JIm Gibbons, who took a test drive.
The tour is moving from San Francisco to New York. It's part of a promotion for the movie "Fuel", which was produced to inspire green energy solutions to various daily tasks.
