Casino Arson Arrest

A 22-year-old security employee has been arrested for arson, accused of setting fires at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino where he worked.

Authorities say Theodore Calvin Burfoot remains jailed on 12,000 dollars bail on two counts of first-degree arson.

Reno fire investigators say Burfoot is suspected of setting a fire in a 39th floor storage room on February 6th, causing 20,000 dollars in damage. An automatic sprinkler system contained the fire to the utility room.

Investigators say Burfoot also is suspected of setting a fire in a stairwell at the same hotel on January 25th.
