If you travel between Fernley and Fallon on Highway 50-A give yourself a little extra beginning Monday February 5.
Completion of the Highway 50-A project begins tomorrow morning.
The Highway 50-A project began back in 2000 after a series of fatal accidents on that roadway.
Growth in Fernley and Fallon made the two-lane road dangerous.
Now the project goes to Hazen where the roadway will be widened to Leeteville Junction.Once completed, the highway will be four lanes.
Nevada's Highway Patrol is asking drivers to allow for extra time as slower speed limits will be enforced.
The project could be completed by June.
