It’s more bad news for the snow pack in the Sierra. Thursday morning Nevada hydrologists conducted the second survey of the winter and found only 28 inches on the Mount Rose Summit. That is about one third of average for this time of year.
In comparison, last year, the snow pack measured in at 144 inches. While state hydrologists say our drinking water supply isn't doing very well, drought is not a concern right now.
