Bodies of missing Reno couple found in Sierra

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities suspect a Reno couple may have
died of exposure after their vehicle became stuck on a snowy back
road in the Sierra.

The bodies of 84-year-old Edwin Zabel and his 65-year-old wife,
Margaret, were found Wednesday in the Tahoe National Forest near
Sierraville, California.

Their four-wheel drive station wagon was found stuck in a ditch.
Authorities say according to family members, the couple
typically went for a drive on Sundays.

Two people who were driving a four-wheel vehicle in the snow
found Edwin Zabel on Wednesday about a mile from the abandoned

Searchers then found the body of his wife.
