Deputy Shot While Serving Search Warrant

A Carson City sheriff's deputy is recovering after being shot and wounded while serving a search warrant at a suspected drug house.

Sheriff Kenny Furlong says officers went to the home shortly before 3 am, and gunfire was exchanged when one person in the home started shooting.

Deputy Josh Stagliano was struck in the left wrist and underwent
surgery at Carson Tahoe Hospital. Officials say he is doing well and is expected to fully recover.

No one else was injured.

Furlong says two people in the home at the time the shooting were arrested.

Lillian Meyer and Mark Fiddler were booked into the Carson City Jail on unspecified charges.

Furlong says a third person was questioned and released.
