Officials are still tallying the number of people in Washoe County who are living on the street, in motels or shelters.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development requires metropolitan areas to conduct the annual survey during the last week of January.
Organizations doing the assessment in Washoe County say 98 people were counted living on the street when the survey was conducted yesterday (Wednesday). That's up from 83 last year but less than the 178 counted two years ago.
Officials say they are still tallying how many people are living in motels and shelters.
