Witnesses say the unidentified man was skating when he suddenly fell through into the water. Divers were sent underneath the ice, swimming in the 32 degree water, but have yet to find anything.
The victim is believed to be a male adult according to witnesses. Witnesses said the skater had been skating with another person who left before the man broke through.
Authorities estimate that the spot where the skater fell through reaches depths of 240 feet.
