A storm that brought snow to the valley floor, created relatively few traffic tie-ups Thursday, according to public safety officials.
One of the accidents happened on the Pyramid Highway at Los Altos Parkway Wednesday morning. KOLO reported one car may have slid into another.
However, some drivers interviewed said conditions were not especially problematic, although traffic was slow-going in some areas.
As of deadline Wednesday evening, chains were still required on US50 heading from the Carson City area toward Lake Tahoe, as well as part of the Mount Rose Highway. For current road condition information, call 511 in Nevada. In California, call 1-800-GAS-ROAD.
A Nevada Department of Transportation official said colder night-time temperatures are creating the possibility for black ice during the morning commute Friday. Watch "News Channel Eight Daybreak" for the latest AM travel conditions.
