INCLINE VILLAGE, Nevada (AP) - Bucking a nationwide trend, the
median price of an existing home rose eight percent to
807-thousand-313 dollars at Lake Tahoe in 2006 compared with the
year before.

That's the word from the real estate firm Chase International,
which says sales of existing homes fell 35 percent to 957 last

Incline Village again has the most expensive homes at Tahoe,
with a median price of just over one (m) million dollars, up eight
percent over the previous year.

The best bargain was on the south shore, where the median price
of 478-thousand dollars was up just one percent in 2006.

Also in California, the median price climbed 12 percent to
765-thousand dollars in Tahoe City but dropped three percent to
669-thousand dollars in Truckee.
