Washoe County officials began a new term with the swearing in of elected officials.
Sheriff Mike Haley and Republican Assessor Josh Wilson, both newly elected in November, were among those who took the oath of office Tuesday during a ceremony in the county commission chambers.
Others sworn in by U.S. District Judge Brian Sandoval include Republican Commissioners Bonnie Weber and David Humke, both elected to second terms.
Third-term Democrat Pete Sferrazza was sworn in earlier.
Other re-elected incumbents include Clerk Amy Harvey, District Attorney Richard Gammick, Treasurer Bill Berrum, Public Administrator Don Cavallo and Recorder Kathy Burke.
Washoe District Court Chief Judge Jerry Polaha swore in new Judge Patrick Flanagan at noon in the courthouse. Flanagan's formal investiture will be in county commission chambers at 3 p.m. Friday.
