STATELINE, NV - The fate of a Former Fallon coach charged in connection with a teen drinking party a year and half ago remains uncertain. 38-year-old Tami Peel appeared before Tahoe Justice Court Judge Richard Glasson in his Stateline courtroom. She was there for a hearing on the possible revocation of her suspended sentence on five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charges steam from a party she hosted at her home which ended in allegations of the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl by as many as five young men.
Peel pleaded guilty to the charges on April 21st in Fallon. Glasson sentenced her to 180 days in jail for each count but suspended 4 of the counts and 135 days of the remaining count. Conditions of that suspension included that she not consume alcohol for 2 years.
On May 24th she turned herself in to the Churchill County Jail to begin serving the remaining 45 days of her sentence. The Churchill County Sheriff’s Officer on duty at the time told the court today she smelled alcohol on Peel’s breath. She attempted to administer sobriety tests but found Peel uncooperative and told the judge it took her between an hour and a half and two hours to get a successful test. The result of the test found Peel had a blood alcohol level of 0.122%.
Peel, who was appearing today without an attorney, told Judge Glasson that she had no problem admitting that she drank alcohol. When pressed whether she wished to continue with the hearing, said she wanted to be represented by an attorney.
Her previous attorney, Joel Barber of Reno, withdrew from the case after Peel had turned herself in. He is reported to be out of the country and Peel told the Judge she can’t afford to hire another attorney. Judge Glasson continued the matter until a public defender can be appointed.
Deputy Attorney General Ronda Clifton is asking the judge to revoke the suspension on the first count which means Peel would have to serve the remainder of the 135 days and to invoke the next count of 180 days. The department of alternative sentencing is recommending Peel serve the remaining 135 days in a rehab facility.
Glasson is presiding over the case because the Fallon Justice Court Judge recused himself.
Peel faces a similar hearing next week before Churchill District Judge David Huff who sentenced her on one count of child endangerment.

It's really sad because this makes Fallon look like a good ol' boy town where if you are in the click you can get away in anything! I'm glad they moved this to Stateline so maybe a little REAL justice will get done! Way to go Rhonda Clifton for doing your job.
