Ensign's Parents Gave Mistress's Family $96,000

Sen. John Ensign said Thursday his parents gave his mistress and her family nearly $100,000 "out of concern for the well being of longtime family friends during a difficult time," providing his first public acknowledgment that the woman received payments tied to the affair.

I have yet to hear Cindy say anything about this affair. Seems like her husband is making the demands.

The terrible truth about this is Doug Hampton only wants more money. I wish someone had given me $96,000 a year ago. This guy is truly pathetic. His wife is just as much to blame as Ensign, it takes 2 people not just one she was as willing as he. BT

What a shame! We thought Mr. Ensign was Nevada's shining star. Seems the leaders of this state have moral issues. What a bitter disappointment.
