It was extremely crowded at Reno-Tahoe International Airport Wednesday.
KOLO reported as many as 2,000 people were stranded in Reno Tuesday because high winds forced flight delays and cancellations.
An airport spokeswoman said it might take until Thursday before people affected by the winds can get to their destinations. Many flights are already heavily booked as people return home after the holidays, she said.
Snow at the airport late Wednesday morning created poor visibility and three flights had to land at other airports, according to the spokeswoman.
