Lyon County authorities continued to search the shoreline of Lahontan Reservoir Monday by boat and vehicle, looking for any signs of missing six-year-old Apollo Fuller of Reno.

The boy disappeared while on a family outing at the lake near Silver Springs Saturday afternoon. Although there are missing posters posted at the state park entrance, it is assumed the boy has drowned in the lake.

Lyon county deputy sheriff Lieutenant Rob Hall says the boy’s disappearance was originally treated as a missing child and possible abduction, but concern quickly turned to the murky waters of the reservoir. Approximately 60 people of various agencies joined in the search on Saturday. Vehicles and campsites were searched, divers probed the waters, but no sign of the boy was found. Hall noted that the lake is always murky with zero visibility for divers.

Hall says the next day they learned from a family member that the boy had been playing on water on a floating trampoline. The relative, described as a young adult, did not report that detail until Sunday.

After an extensive search turned up no sign of the boy, Lyon county authorities downgraded it to a simple patrol of the waters and the shoreline.

he was my sisters friend,he had such the graetest attitude ever, me and my family wish them the best. we will truly miss him, and there shouldnt be any charges espacially if he was with his grandma who cared so much for him, she trully is not responsible for his death.-ruby

I agree that the family was very neglectful but bringing charges aganst them is sort of hurting a family that is hurting so much already i would be nterested in what others think
