Passengers experienced more delays at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport because of the shut-down of the Denver airport Thursday.
A Reno airport spokeswoman said so far at least 2,500 people traveling through Reno have been affected by the Denver closure. She also said three flights from Reno to Denver for Friday have already been cancelled. Even though Denver International Airport is expected to re-open at noon on Friday, it may only have limited operations, the spokeswoman said. She recommended people check with airlines before going to the airport, even after DIA is open again.
