SPARKS, NV - Bill Cosby was at Fuddruckers Monday morning for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Cosby and others not quite as famous, can sink their teeth into fresh, custom made to order burgers.

Fuddruckers is famous for its build-your-own burgers. The 6,000 square foot restaurant can seat more than 200. There's even a University of Nevada, Reno themed booth. The interior walls are also Nevada themed.

Fuddruckers was founded in 1980 in Texas and has a 1950's and 60's style rock and roll feel. Local franchise owner Luther Mack says, he's confident Fuddruckders will do well in Reno. Luther Mack, a former McDonalds franchise owner for 35 years, ran into business trouble two years ago when I.C.E. raids at his McDonald's restaurants turned up illegal workers. Mack says, he's excited to move on to his latest business venture, opening Fuddruckers and is looking forward to fresh start.

If you're not into meat, Fuddruckers also has vegetarian options, soup, salads and all kinds of pies, cakes and sweet treats for dessert.

I went to the grand opening and ordered the 1lb and a loaded potato. Got it to the table cut it in half and had a few bites. Tasted something weird and looked down to see the paper on the meat they use to seperate the burgers was cooked with the burger. YUCK!! I get the mngr over to the table and she acts like it's no big idea. I then got Luther Mack to come over to the table to let him know and he said no biggie. We'll make it right next time. Lesson learned here... When you order your burger at Fuddruckers... Ask them to hold the paper.

Not to bad of a burger but meeting Bill Cosby was AWESOME!!! What an event that will last in the memory forever...He stayed for hour's and greeted people, huged, signed thing's, chated and lauged it up with fan's, amazing to have finally met the man who made growing up a bit more fun. I met him as he was walking up to the door, he stoped and chated with a few of us and let us take picture's even before the store opened...What a great guy.. I was the first customer, so though owner Luther Mack did nothing for the person who would be the first to place an order, meeting Bill Cosby was worth more than anything that could have been givven as far as food. If you ever have a chance to meet him, you should take it. Thank's to KOLO4 for being there as well, your people were very nice...
