RENO - Victor Rodriguez, who also uses the name Steve Contreras, will stand trial for murder. That's the ruling of a Reno judge Wednesday at a preliminary hearing.

He is accused of shooting 17-year-old Rene Angulo to death as they drove together through Washoe Valley on Mother's Day.

Detectives also accuse him of shooting a good samaritan who pulled over to help.

The court also heard from Rodriguez's girlfriend. She testified the defendant hears voices and sees ghosts or spirits. But, when asked if her testimony was *coerced* to support a mental health defense...she gave conflicting answers.

A scientist testified that D-N-A on Rodriguez's clothing matched the victim of the fatal shooting.
