Reno police say a struggle in a house in southwest Reno apparently preceded the death of a man whose body was found in a pool of blood in a residential neighborhood.
They identified the man as Douglas Mitchell, who would have turned 49 on Saturday.
The victim lived by himself in a house across the street from where his body was found. Detectives who searched his home said there apparently was a struggle inside.
They're not saying how the man died except to say there is evidence of trauma.
Thursday's homicide came two days after the body of a woman was found in the Thomas Creek Canyon area south of Reno.
