Carson City officials say they may end up with some unexpected financial shortfalls over the next year and a half.
City manager Linda Ritter says they did not anticipate the seven
percent reduction in tax revenue they now expect when they compiled
the city budget for the next 18 months.
The new projections will be presented Thursday at a meeting of the board of supervisors.
The first quarter estimate for 2007 has been lowered from six million-dollars to about 5.6 million dollars.
A longer forecast anticipates about three percent less than originally projected for sales tax revenue.
