A fire that destroyed an historic 26-room Reno mansion has been ruled a case of arson.
The Reno Fire Department says it will be working with Reno police to investigate the blaze in the 1930s-era mansion (on South Arlington Avenue).
The fire early Friday also destroyed all possessions of the family that had recently purchased the home. There were no injuries.
Denise Seach and her nine-year-old daughter were staying with a
nearby family member while renovations to the home were being made.
Her husband was out of town.
Just hours before the fire, Seach hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at the home with members of her church. Nobody was in the house when the fire broke out.
