A Nevada professor is among four finalists being considered by Montana State University for the dean's position in the College of Letters and Sciences, the university's largest college.
Eric Herzik, chairman of the Department of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Reno and three others are vying for the post in Bozeman.
Montana State officials say the finalists will begin participating in campus interviews and forums next week.
Other candidates are Paula Lutz, dean of the College of Arts and
Sciences at the University of Missouri-Rolla; Brenda Claiborne, director of the Institute for Aging Research at the University of Texas-San Antonio; and Edward Jarroll, interim chairman of the Department of Biology at Northeastern University in Boston.
