Washoe County sheriff's detectives have arrested a man for allegedly throwing rocks through the windows of the downtown Reno courthouse.
David James Augustine, 47, was arrested Tuesday and charged with
destruction of property and failing to register as an ex-felon. Bail was set at $20,000.
Authorities said court personnel reported that a rock was thrown
through their first-floor office window Tuesday afternoon.
About 10 minutes later, officers said they saw Augustine throw a rock through another window at the Mills Lane Court Complex across the street.
There have been several incidents of vandalism at the courthouse in recent weeks, and investigators said they are trying to determine if Augustine also was involved in those.
