Colorado Woman Dies in Nevada Accident

A Colorado woman was killed when she lost control of her car on Interstate 80 near Elko.

Kimberly Pisarcik, 33, of Evergreen, was traveling east shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday when her Chevrolet sport utility vehicle drifted off the road, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Authorities said the woman overcorrected, sending the vehicle into a skid across both eastbound lanes.

The vehicle overturned and Pisarcik was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation continued, but the patrol said preliminary findings point to driver inattention as the cause of the crash.
