"All life saving electrical functions are working. Our ER is still open for people who need it," ~Don Butterfield, Northern Nevada Medical Center
SPARKS, NV - 450 residents, Northern Nevada Medical Center and the industrial area off Vista Boulevard have power back after being offline for about an hour Monday night.
As of 9:30, customers had their power restored.
The hospital does have an emergency generator. A spokesman for the hospital tells KOLO 8 News Now all life-saving electrical functions worked and the hospital's emergency room remained open.
NV Energy technicians worked on a fix, transferring power to another line off Prater Way. No word yet why power went out.
