It was a fruitful Labor Day weekend for a California couple who hit a $3.5 million jackpot in Reno.
The couple came to Reno to meet some friends and hit the jackpot early Sunday on a Wheel of Fortune machine at the Reno Hilton.
According to slot machine maker International Game Technology, the couple did not want to be identified but said they hit the jackpot after playing just $3.
They plan to pay off their home and invest the rest.
The jackpot will be paid in annual installments.
