Some Nevada democratic candidates received an extra boost this afternoon with a visit from former vice presidential candidate John Edwards, who stumped for gubernatorial candidate Dina Titus.
The event was open to the public, but in many ways Edwards and Titus were preaching to the choir as the audience was clearly democratic. But because Northern Nevada has more registered Republicans than Democrats this visit was a good way to make inroads.
Several hundred people gathered at the Grand Theater in hopes of catching the democratic tide that's sweeping the country. Here in Northern Nevada treading in that water is a little tougher, but early voting numbers show democrats here too are getting out to vote, and if they were looking for inspiration, this was a good place to get it.
